At LanguageBird, students get a final grade for each semester (12 instructional lessons). The grading breakdown is as follows:
- Participation (20%)
- Homework (20%)
- Use of Language (30%)
- Semester Project (30%)
We input a final letter grade for each of the categories in the FINAL COURSE GRADE SUMMARY at the bottom of the LNG:
To calculate the final grade for participation, homework, use of language, we refer to the daily grades we assigned over the course of the semester. If the daily grades vary a lot and you’re having trouble assigning final grades, refer to the Holistic Grading Rubric found under Misc. in your Starter Pack.
